LifeMoves serves families at seven locations throughout Silicon Valley and the Peninsula, helping families find a rapid return to stable housing and self-sufficiency. Case Managers support clients’ unique needs, helping them manage budgets, connect with resources, and make active progress toward regaining stable housing. Staff and volunteers provide clients with training, tools, and resources to find and secure employment and housing they can afford. They also assist clients with practical support:  basic car/bicycle repairs to assure reliable transportation to work/school, bus, train, BART and other transportation passes, fees for college and university applications, assistance with tuition and/or certification testing fees, etc LifeMoves also provides behavioral health services to families. LifeMoves clients get immediate mental health support supervised by two PhD psychologists, and referrals for longer term help in the community upon program completion.

Locations include the First Step for Families at 325 Villa Terrace in San Mateo (650-340-8814), the Haven Family House at 260 Van Buren Road in Menlo Park  (650-325-8719), the Opportunities Service Center at 33 Encina Avenue in Palo Alto (650-853-8672), and the Redwood Family House at 110 Locust Street in Redwood City (650-364-8264).
