Senior Focus Alzheimer’s and Dementia Day Health Program, Mills Health Center

Senior Focus offers a specialized and separate healthcare setting for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Specially trained staff provide meaningful, therapeutic activities, help with personal and nursing care, and offer physical, occupational and speech therapies. Guidance and support for caregivers is also provided.

Person-centered care provides activities and care based on personal preferences, needs and goals. The Music and Memory Program is also offered, which uses music to stimulate memory and activity in people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Using iPods and other digital devices, our specially trained staff set up personalized playlists for those in their care. These musical favorites tap deep memories not lost to dementia and can bring participants “back to life,” enabling them to feel like themselves again, converse, socialize and stay present.
