The Mental Health Association’s Housing Assistance Program helps low income, HIV positive San Mateo County residents obtain and maintain permanent housing. Staff help clients create a housing stability plan and refer clients to needed community resources. Temporary financial assistance is provided to help with housing expenses, including security deposits, utility costs, and rent or mortgage payment. Assistance with prescription medication or medical visit coo-pays is provided on a limited basis as available. Financial assistance is paid directly to the landlord, mortgage company, or utility company. Assistance is subject to funding availability.
